Google’s John Mueller at least twice this week had to respond on Twitter suggesting that SEOs do not break the rules, go against the Google webmaster guidelines, simply because others are getting away with it.

Google has sent me and others who have verified mobile app profiles in Google Search Console that they are no longer supported. The email says “at the end of March, 2019, Search Console will end support for app properties.”

This topic goes back ages, but for some reason John Mueller from Google said again in a Google Webmaster Help thread that it is perfectly fine and doesn’t hurt you in Google search to share an IP address on the same server with other web sites.

Gary Illyes from Google in his AMA said that Google does not have an internal linking over optimization penalty. He went on to say, in his Gary tone, “you can abuse your internal links as much as you want AFAIK.”
