New in Google Analytics: Real-Time Conversion Report
Google has added goal conversions to its real-time reports. The Conversions report shows a list of the most recent goals, sorted by the number of conversions (highest to lowest). The report shows the goal number, then the name you gave your goal.
Google Files for Smartwatch Patent
The application describes a device that would be placed on a wristband and would include one or more touch displays. The watch would include both clock hardware and a data line, suggesting the device will be capable of connecting to the internet.
Yahoo Debuts New Ad Format in News Stream
Yahoo’s front-page news stream now displays personalized ads alongside news articles and other features. Stream Ads will have a similar look and feel to the news articles that will share space with the ads on Yahoo’s home page.
Facebook Removes Beheading Videos
Facebook has confirmed that it will remove videos of people having their heads cut off. “We will remove instances of these videos that are reported to us while we evaluate our policy and approach to this type of content,” Facebook says.
