SEO Strategy For Cuil! Hot Off The Press!
Blurb by Shaun Anderson (Hobo)SEO Tips For Cuil
Just looking at some of the results on the new search engine Cuil and it’s clear how to optimise for this search engine already (in the local space)!
- Buy Links! Yes, go against Google and buy links and you’ll shoot straight to the top! You tank in Google but hey that’s only what everybody else uses!
- Buy really crap links! Yup, looks that way!
- Have no natural link profile!
- Interlink ’successful’ sites!
- Have an Indian SEO company because Cuil loves ‘em!

I’m not feeling mean enough to out anybody publicly…. in case Google penalises them – oh wait they already have lol and another local search brings up spam that tries to infect your computer (dont click on some of these results but this link is OK)
And they think I am Tim Nash and some other joker – come off it! I suppose at least some get to the top without buying links.
Perhaps I’ve just been unlucky with my searches?
Did you know when you link to a Hobo SEO post we have search engine friendly links back to your site if approved? Our comments are also search engine friendly you know (once you've commented on a few posts)! Do you need any more encouragement to get involved in the conversation ;)

You should take a look at some of the posts over on the Scottish Business Forums for some opinions on Cuil. One web design company has a “do it yourself templates” thumbnail next to her result even though this is not what she does!

I thought the whole point of Cuil was to present results that were more suited to the reader needs ‘based on their content and relevance.’ If that’s the case then why on carrying out a search for my URL and I being shown results for “Steve Madden Sinfull (Red Patent) – Women’s – Outdoor.Zappos.com” and “Boys Green T-Shirt Next 3-6 Months” – that’s not a relevant result by any stretch of the imagination for someone searching for my URL alone!
If it makes you feel better check out my new image on my claimID http://www.cuil.com/search?q=Tim%20Nash&sl=long
that’s clearly me, no seriously you just have to squint a bit
@ Lynne Ha! Yes on a search for Hobo Web Design or something we had a RNIB See IT Right Logo beside our name. Thanks Cuil I think that costs £1,000.
@ Tim – LOL That’s bang on the money Tim!
