The awards season is (nearly) over. The good behaviour and backslapping is over….. it’s time to get back to what we do best. Spamming Google and Link-Bait Fights.

I don’t normally comment on this sort of thing…..

Respected Seatle folk and SEO people at each other, search engine industry leaders spamming Wiki’s, search engine marketing companies spamming seo companies and reformed ninja spammers outing neuro spammers, industry gurus apologizing unreservedly.

The SEO industry is in meltdown LOL.

I was going to post an article today on “What The SEO Thought Leaders Thought About Web Accessibility” much in the same format as my well received expert robots.txt and expert seo first posts…er… post.

But I decided to scrap it – too much bad karma for one day. I wrote the whole article and then thought “Is This Really Helping Anyone?” and then “Has This Actually Got The Chance Of Causing Even One Person Real-World Grief”?

Sensationalist (perhaps misguided) link-bait pap with no humour that causes grief is just grief and there’s a bit too much of it flowing about without me adding to it – even though there’s no malice intended. Thankfully, there are some calmer views on the whole SEO ‘meltdown’.

Oh, and the results of that Web accessibility review was that, with a few exceptions, the SEO industry cares as much about web accessibility as I actually care getting a “Free Link From Wired” – not a lot!
