Banned – Did Google Just Slap Ulitzer.com?
Blurb by Shaun Anderson (Hobo) -Ulitzer.com (and sub domains) seems to have gone the way of the dodo in search engine Google. I can’t find any of the site in Google, and it’s a Toolbar PR of 0 (Toolbar Grey).
Some call it content syndication, some call it scraping. Farewell for now at least guys….
After digging about it seems yes – they did to some degree.
We've recently updated our comments policy and increased the number of comments a visitor has to make to get seo friendly links in comment signatures to reward long term readers and make it a bit harder for dofollow spammers ;) - I told you dofollow spamming wasn't a long term strategy....
To be fair… They kinda had it coming.
I see many other sites too publishing content without permission…. well, this should be a warning to everybody who’s involved in this stuff.
What was their PR before the smackdown?
There is no way they should be in the index at all, no use to end users and no loss at all – good riddance.
