Hobo Web, started in April 2006, is 6 months old this October and it’s still an exciting time for us. We decided to celebrate with a new seo blog style news section on our site to make sure when we write our news items, it’s automatically syndicated via RSS to blogging sites and web directories everywhere – in the world – instantly!

In these pages we’re going to track client acquisitions (well, sort of ;) ), highlight industry news and share a bit of our website design and search engine optimization experiences and knowledge.The tasks involved have been varied, taxing and interesting, from accessible website designs, cost effective content management system integration, internet marketing in Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture) and of course, ethical search engine optimisation.

We’ve also continued to manage our accessible web design information site, Accessibility 101 and Internet Marketing 101, to resource sites for designers and internet marketing professionals.

We also managed to promote the Hobo website to a Page Rank 7 site within this six month period (it only took 3, actually although this was stripped back a bit in the October 2007 PR SEO Massacre), amongst many, many other things.

Over the coming months, and in this news section, we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news at Hobo and I’ll be performing many tests like this Content Stuffing test and sharing what I learn.

We've recently updated our comments policy and increased the number of comments a visitor has to make to get seo friendly links in comment signatures to reward long term readers and make it a bit harder for dofollow spammers ;) - I told you dofollow spamming wasn't a long term strategy....
