Is Twitter Free To Use?

Although I don’t use Twitter all that much (as a tweeter, that is – I am always peeking into other conversations), it’s starting to do my head in. That’s not to say it’s not a great tool for networking and keeping up on industry buzz. It is – it’s the best thing of it’s kind I have ever seen. However, it’s important to note that whatever we come up with, Twitter will remain free to use by everyone—individuals, companies, celebrities, etc. What we’re thinking about is adding value in places where we are already seeing traction, not imposing fees on existing services. Twitter Blog

If you haven’t signed up for Twitter, I would. It’s a great way to connect with a lot of likeminded people. Hobo is on it here – Hobo Web

This is good news, but I think twitter will have to find a way to earn more money without damaging user experience. I don’t think they can create more profitable services without making corporate accounts paid.
