SEO Companies Back In Google Local (Good For Manchester SEO At Least)
Blurb by Shaun Anderson (Hobo) -Well it looks as if SEO companies are back in Google Local results, but for some reason, when, looking for a SEO Company searching from Greenock (near Glasgow, in Scotland) Google gives us seo companies based out of Manchester.
Nice one Google. More crap UK serps (well, where I am based at least), although no doubt a boon to Manchester SEO companies (yeah i know Its a geo location thing but still crap).
Wonder how long we need to put up with that.
UPDATE – It seems if you search for SEO Company *in* Glasgow (for instance) you get a local maps listing, however, just using SEO Company Glasgow without the *in* fails to provide the searcher with a maps option.
PS – It was actually a surprise to see any SEO company in local business results – I thought they had been removed.
We've recently updated our comments policy and increased the number of comments a visitor has to make to get seo friendly links in comment signatures to reward long term readers and make it a bit harder for dofollow spammers ;) - I told you dofollow spamming wasn't a long term strategy....
Found our listings back again, which is a good sign for SEO companies again.
Personally find the map listings IP address matching useless on occasion, even when you specify location in the query, not all results match the query. Still alot of bugs and kinks to work out for ol GooG
Wonder how long it will take for searches to simply ignore the LBL boxes when the “new toy phrase” has passed?
I have noticed that in Google India (google.co.in) Google does give Local results for seo companies. For example seo goa, seo services goa, and search engine optimization goa gives accurate results in Google Local. All the companies features are in fact based in Goa. I have checked it out today again.
