On my Mac to take a picture of, for instance, small parts of a screen – I normally use the keyword command Command-Shift-4 (I don’t know how PC users do it) but where this software comes in useful is if I want to take a a picture of an entire web page that is too big to fit in your browser window. It does not capture screen video though if you are looking for that function.

We've recently updated our comments policy and increased the number of comments a visitor has to make to get seo friendly links in comment signatures to reward long term readers and make it a bit harder for dofollow spammers ;) - I told you dofollow spamming wasn't a long term strategy....
I generally use fireshot (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5648) and very often use its annotation feature to send bug reports.
I think this is the one Jack uses….
Jack does indeed use fireshot for PC but for Mac I purchased a program called Little Snapper which is absolutely fantastic, it comes highly recommended for mac users.
I will try it for sure. You never know when you can find something better on net.

I use Fireshot for all my screen capture needs. It has a free version and its image editing capabilities are indispensable. I have tried several standalone software before for the same function but nothing comes close and more convenient than a browser extension.
I use ScreenGrab too. Best function has to be copy “complete page/frame”, which puts an end to pressing print screen repeatedly and then stitching the long page together in Photoshop.
