John Cardno - Scam Tickets For Music Festivals?
Posted by HoboHmmmm…. it’s kinda hard to stay on the sidelines here…. I’ve got problems with people replying to a post about T In The Park, whilst monitoring logs which show people are actually checking up on this guy - John Cardno, and asking if he is a scam. Should you buy tickets for festivals off John Cardno? Is this a ticket scam?
Is John Cardno selling fake scam tickets for festivals? I don’t know - but what I do know is that this post should probably rank no1 (or thereabouts) for his name, to warn him and others that people certainly think John Cardno is a scam, a cheat, a tout not to be trusted. I hope he is not.
I love music festivals - I go to as many as possible. I’m sitting here thinking…. is John Cardno using this site to disappoint festival goers by selling scam tickets?
I actually ask john Cardno - please come forward - this site has the authority to rank no1, 2 or 3 for your name….. is this a total misunderstanding? I certainly hope so. Please - I’ll post a story about how John Cardno is a good guy and not a scamming B.

I hope this post brings to the attention of John Cardno, that a lot of people think he is a cheat.
I’d like to go on record that John Cardno is a respectable ticket sales person - I’d love John to comment…. I belive in you John!
PS - Ahh…. the power of search, eh? I am a seo (search engine optimiser)…. this is what I do…. I can’t help myself. If you are buying festival tickets for T in the park or indeed anywhere else, please check Google to see if any body is being called a scam before you buy.
Good deed for the day….. done….. publish!

I was going to submit this to several sb sites Shaun but think I’ll hold for now - the guy may be the real deal, who knows it does put doubt in your mind - so until he clears him name I’ll refrain or he’s gonna need a pretty good online reputation management team to knock this and several other ftom G for his name.

This brought a huge smile to my face, cheers Shaun!
John Cardno was once a free-spirited, free-enterprising, budding entrepreneur, selling a few tickets here and there to fund his own festival habit……. OR….. well, the alternative doesn’t bear thinking about.
Then Google grabbed his name, his reputation was slurred, HOBO happened to him and his world went upside down in the space of a day! You can just tell that somebody is going to submit this post and REALLY make his day!
Reputation management can be important, even for the little guy, the one-man-band type of company.
I think we have all learned a few lessons from what could become a legendary cautionary tale in the field of reputation management.
Can we take this a step further? Does anybody actually know John Cardno? I think I once read that we are only 14 “steps” away from anybody else in the world and the web makes the number of steps much smaller. It would be pretty cool to actually track him down.

Thanks for comments. I did a little research about John Cardno before I published. There’s a few unhappy people to say the least - perhaps it’s a misunderstanding?
Thanks for the comments guys.

clever idea shaun I imagine this will put paid to any more trouble,
this is the type of problem that gave me the orginal idea of a safe and securtiy checked ticket web site (as we have discussed in the past) which helps to protect consumers, there is a lot of fake tickets circulating for festivals this summer
Hope to speak with you soon

same guy do we think…?
i just agreed to buy reading tickets.. luckly decided to check it out and found your page.. then this …
Fraudster in new scam while on probation.
(From Aberdeen Press & Journal (UK))
A Gambling addict and serial fraudster who was locked up for internet scams has done it again - while on probation for his previous crimes.
This time John Cardno has cheated people out of almost GBP7,500 in total, with one of them handing over GBP5,100 for goods which did not exist.
A year ago he was locked up for trying to sell a GBP13,000 car he did not own.
He advertises goods on websites, where he pretends to be a genuine seller, and tricks people into paying money into his building society and PayPal accounts.
The Crown has seized his computer.
Cardno admitted four frauds when he appeared at the city’s sheriff court yesterday.
His solicitor Mike Monro confirmed that some of them had been committed while he was on probation.
Between November 26 and December 22, last year, he pretended to be the bona fide seller of 18 mobile phones, 10 games consoles, and a laptop computer, when he actually had no goods for sale.
Kaizer Tejabwala paid GBP2,600 into Cardno’s building society account and GBP2,500 into his PayPal account, expecting to get the goods.
Paul Ross paid GBP680 into Cardno’s account for two games consoles, along with a TV and stand. Cardno had pretended to have them for sale on or between September 1 and 6 last year.
Between November 1 and 12 last year he conned Daniel Hawke out of GBP314.60 by pretending to sell a mobile phone and MP3 player.
Between those dates he also cheated Jason Peet out of GBP1,400 by pretending to be the genuine seller of two computers.
His not guilty plea to a fifth charge, which alleged that he conned Razaan Iqbal out of GBP2,000 by pretending to be the genuine seller of a car, was accepted by the Crown.
He had previously denied all the charges.
Cardno is to be sentenced on August 4. Background reports have been ordered.

John Cardno is an absolute scum bag. I have just had the misfortune of being bumped for £480 for T in the Park tickets and did not check search engines etc first. Hind sight is a wonderful thing!
Do not deal with this low life at all!!!!
I will be reporting him to the police and to the bank he deals with, HSBC in hope that they can do something.

Don’t suppose anybody heard any more on this John Cardno? Is it a ticket scam?

Hey, I was just looking for tickets to Kings of leon playing at brixton academy in London in Aug 08.
I found a seller on gumtree.com who was cheaper then the ave going price, after a few emails between him and myself i decided to google the name “john cardno” which is what his name is on the emails, and that obviously brought me to this page. (I have no idea why i just decided to check this time, maybe i just had a wierd feeling about this)
So now, i dont know weather he is a scammer or not, but he is definately in the ticket selling business, so I would just take care. I certainly wont be buying tickets from him.
This is his contact number and email address, if any 1 wants to call or get hold of him

I got conned by john carndo along with a lot of other people for tickets that did not exist at the time he was working the ticket scam from a sunny beach in Spain (with his girlfriend).
As for the banks he used they did not care about the conned people because the money was paid to him willingly even though he had no intention of supplying the tickets they got there fees.
He has since given himself up and been remanded on custody. this has been confirmed by my local police.
Anyone who say’s maybe he is a nice chap should talk to some of the people he has conned out of hundreds of pounds each.
Personally I hope they sell all his body parts and remove them as they are needed.

Cheers for letting us know this scum bag has been remanded on custody. My local police station took all necessary details from me last month; print out of text messages he sent, emails he sent etc. Cops were really helpful. He was acting like an arsehole when they called him to chase him up, generally the guy is a c*nt. I just hope he does get banged up, and drops the soap every day he’s in there….
