Did The Groundhog See His Shadow? Google Trends
Blurb by Shaun Anderson (Hobo)It’s Groundhog Day 2009 – Did The Groundhog See His Shadow?
Punxsutawney Phil, of Groundhog Day fame, undoubtedly the world’s most famous groundhog, saw his shadow this Monday morning, predicting that this already long winter will last for six more weeks!
A lot of people are using Google today to answer that very question, and Google Trends is a free Google service you can use to track this.

Google Trends via RSS tipped me off. Obviously this is a fun post, but Google Trends really is an excellent way to see nearly real time what people are searching for.
Tie in with your business aims, and you could steal a march on your competition, or drive a lot of traffic to your site. I wish I had more time to track this sort of thing
A bit of online business authority, some knowledge of basic seo, and you can use this to get to the top of Google (in your region) with a bit of luck.

Punxsutawney Phil emerged just after dawn in front of an estimated 13,000 witnesses, many dressed in black and gold to celebrate the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Super Bowl victory the night before.
Did you know when you link to a Hobo SEO post we have search engine friendly links back to your site if approved? Our comments are also search engine friendly you know (once you've commented on a few posts)! Do you need any more encouragement to get involved in the conversation ;)
