10% Off Christmas Hampers; A Bespoke Scottish Corporate Hamper
Blurb by Shaun Anderson (Hobo)
Everybody knows at Hobo we’re proud to be a Scottish company. I tell you, we’re no prouder when we get sent free Scottish stuff and a deal for our readers!
After a heavy week writing up client strategy documents, it’s a pleasure to come into the office and find a free gift! Long term Hobo Blog subscriber Russell at Scottish Hampers sent us a corporate hamper as a way of thanks for our free SEO guide we published last month:
Thanks very much for the seo guide! I’ve been using it on our sites and trying to take in all the information and make use of it, with good success! I thought I’d send you a little something as way of thanks

I got back to him to say thanks, and told him I’d actually like to tell my blog subscribers, and if he would be up for offering a discount on corporate gift hampers. He replied:
Hey no problem! If anybody places an order (up to November 2009), tell your readers we’ll give them 10% OFF anything (including single scottish food items) from our online store at Scottish Hampers
How do you make a saving on your next corporate gift for those special clients? Just visit his online store, buy ANY HAMPER, or indeed ANY PRODUCT, and buy your hamper using the special voucher code:
“HAMPHOBOWEB†(case insensitive) – Go here – http://www.scottishhampers.co.uk/ and actually he has a very cool make your own hamper section on the site which is easy to use.
Can’t do better than that for you on this Friday 26 June!
PS (exl delivery I’m told in case you live in Outer Mongolia) PPS – Want to send me a free gift lol? If it’s good and suitable (lets stick with Scottish stuff for now like luxury hampers lol) send it on to me with a message. I will need to nofollow the page as I don’t want big G thinking these are paid for L’s. and unfortunately I’d need to say I just won’t publish any old garbage as I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist when it comes to seo – I can’t guarantee I’d blog about it unfortunately.
These hampers make the perfect corporate Christmas gift – check them out!
Did you know when you link to a Hobo SEO post we have search engine friendly links back to your site if approved? Our comments are also search engine friendly you know (once you've commented on a few posts)! Do you need any more encouragement to get involved in the conversation ;)

This a New Seo technique ? promotion of Scottish goods… obviously not expecting any other Hobo clients to send you free stuff, as well as advertising $1.40 a link sites at the bottom of the page ??
Youll be having a Michael jackson Memorial blog section next.
Tut tut !*
Do those pay for links work ? ;P
Martin, I’ve got some stuff to shift actually…. maybe if you can come down and move my stuff I’ll do the same for you ;p
The ads your’e referring to are Google Ads – I’m testing out Google Adsense for feeds seeing as everyone else does.
If writing about this (ONE product in between 400 posts (!) where I gave a way a ton of free advice and ask for nothing in return) weeds out fly by night subcribers I’ll take my profit from Google Adsense For Feeds and buy myself a big box of Kleenex and a bottle of champers to go with my free hamper
I’ve look through this scottishhampers shop. Very nice website with high quality stuff, but prices are too high. I don’t really know original Scottish prices (i’m 200 miles south from Edinburgh), but I feel them very high.
well shaun, Dont mind a bit a bartering
AHhh a new blog idea lets do away with cash transactions ,Scottish Barter blog ~ i was in sunny Greenock a few weeks ago, shame i couldnt do job then…lol …hope its nothing Illegal (*greenock folk*)
If you need anything transported from this side of the world let me know, see above **
Think those Luxuary hampers are more suited for Xmas gifts, I like a nice bit of quailty ham now and again, champagne doesnt agree with me much or maybe I dont agree with it …
Did you get many clicks on the (ive never bought)
link selling post ?
Disclosure –
Point 1 – I never got paid for that link. I never got asked to blog about the hamper. It was my idea.
Point 2 – Paid links are OK on a blog as long as they don’t pass Google PR. No links on this page pass PR.
Point 3 – If you were in Greenock you should have popped in
This post was actually a test, to see if I could get away with selling FUTURE products to my subscriber list
– Only one complaint so far lol
Im too shy to pop in out the blue like that !
wasnt knocking selling goods or should I say freebie hunting.
Got the seo guide – isnt the bare bones of SEO just about subtle spamming of sorts, I look at some blogs / company websites and thats what it looks like to me but with a few more sophisticated words used ? spamming is just a snobs term for being unsophisticated & trying blanket web coverage….;)
Ive been trying some links on a few sites.. not sure if its helping my site just now, Ive survived on spam since march (Google buss ads).
:p
