More People Than Ever Are Starting New Businesses In Inverclyde

Figures produced by banks show 99 people set up firms during the three months from March to June last year, an increase of 34% on last year, and one of the largest in Scotland.

Inverclyde MP David Cairns said;

”It’s great to see so many people starting their own businesses. When you walk around Inverclyde you can see the regeneration. These figures prove confidence is returning and people are picking up on that.”

Shaun Anderson a director of new business Hobo-Web Ltd, said “We are a website design and search engine marketing company who decided to set up in Ardgowan Square just last year.

”After five years of working in the online marketing field for a Glasgow-based Advertising Agency, I along with my (business) partner, decided to go for it.

I was born and brought up in Greenock, so when I was looking for somewhere to base my company, Inverclyde was the natural choice even though we were offered free offices in Glasgow.”
