Of course you know when you are at the top of the SERPS for particular keywords, particularly how to tutorials, you start picking up organic links from forums and blogs who see these articles as trusted articles because, well, they are at the top of Google.

When helping each other out, forum members often use Google to find an authority article, and link to it to help newbies. Often they will usually just copy and paste the URL like so:

hey Shaun, FYI – on this post the right column is on top of the middle column and makes the post content hard to read. I haven’t noticed this on your other posts. I’m using Firefox 3. ~ Steve, purveyor of quality trade show booths

I’m a firm believer in providing html whenever possible, especially in link request emails. This can be a big help when you’re really aggressively pursuing links, because you never really know how savvy any given “webmaster” will be. As an FYI, I’m having the same issue as Steve with Firefox 3. Cheers!

Thanks for the heads up about the formatting. It’s to do with the code o the page – it’s supposed to wrap. Will get it checked out. :)

Nice link code, I sometimes try adding a title to the link (title=”more keywords!”)

Would placing a BBcode like this but with different keyword text work in blog comments that allow the use of BBcode in the comment section. Would be useful if it did.
